The USA is a violent nation, unlike most of the rest of the civilized world. Perhaps some restrictions and curtailments are way past due to be implemented. As a gun owner (many), the first one I would restrict is the unlimited application of the 2nd Amendment as promoted by the NRA. That would at least be a start to the USA becoming less dangerous, and resemble places like Germany, Canada, Britain, France and other western democracies.
The US has different demographics than Germany, Canada, and France which is the biggest difference in the violent crime rates....if the US became a lily white country like those mentioned, the violent crime rate would go way down.

No, we have gun free zones all over the U.S., and people still kill each other with guns in them. Especially inner city Blacks in gangs, and the drug trade. Fix that, and most of the humans killing each other goes away.

Canada lily white? Guess you have not been in Vancouver (Asian) or Toronto (Punjabi/Jamaican/Haitian) lately, have you? Calgary has a Muslim Arab mayor, who is popular and handily won reelection. Edmonton and Calgary have large Asian, Sikh and Middle East populations. Edmonton, Regina and Winnipeg have large, very large, North American Native populations.

I stand by my assertion that the USA is a violent nation when compared to other civilized, western democracies. And you know that is a fact.
