Until Trump opens his big mouth again.

Aside from that, the DOW is STILL (at least at this precise moment) below where it was when the OP started this thread nearly a year and half ago.
Pretty pathetic market "gains".

When can I join the 2 comma club again?

I'm still at 985,000

That has only one comma.

Somebody doesn't know much about the stock market.

I wonder if that poster ever gets tired of making a fool of himself. Just like the OP.

We've got another hour until we see what actually happens but at the moment DOW futures are down close to 300 points.
MORON MAN strikes again by opening his big stoooopid mouth.
Worse yet, WHO will negotiate ANY deals with a clown who is ALREADY breaking his new NAFTA replacement treaty. I mean let's be honest here, would YOU make any kind of deal with someone who can't be trusted to keep his word for even a short period of time? As soon as he decides he wants something else, he just violates his own agreement. So WHAT is to stop him from violating it again at some point in the future? WHY would ANY trading partners TRUST someone like that?
The answer is - THEY WON'T - because he's completely DISHONEST.

So much for being a "master negotiator".
The guy is an IDIOT.

True, he's an idiot we can all see that - it is crystal clear as the stock market sits on the cliff ready to take another plunge.

What we really have to worry about are the idiots that voted this swindler into office. Those fools are what got us into this situation.

There are plenty of Trumps out there - but most of them end up in criminal syndicates (like John Gotti) they don't get voted into the most powerful office in the land.

Sure they can if given easy indicators like a President opening his pie hole with the tariff word every week or so.

Other folks out there apparently are thinking the very same thing I am - that Trump cannot be trusted to stick to ANY agreement he makes - so WHY would ANYONE make ANY agreement with him?

'...“Trump’s readiness to hit a trading partner with new tariff threats soon after striking a trade deal will make China still more cautious about signing up to a deal that Trump then reneges upon, humiliating its leadership,” Krishna Guha. policy strategy analyst at Evercore, said in a note. “Beijing will remain open to talking, but this cannot help prospects for an early breakthrough at G20.”...

...“How can you trust Trump to honor a deal?” Chris Krueger, Washington strategist at Cowen said. “Mexico submitted USMCA this week for ratification...Trump’s signature trade achievement was moving downfield...and he just threatened Mexico -- the U.S.’s largest trading partner -- with unilateral tariffs on ALL Mexican goods exports to the U.S....”'

No doubt this is what ALL of our potential trading partners are thinking.
Wouldn't YOU?

NO deal with China is likely now, and the new NAFTA replacement is likely to fall apart too before it's even ratified by Congress.

Geeze! Trump is stupid beyond belief.

Trump is used to dealing with (bullying) small contractors who cannot afford to spend a lot of time fighting with him in court or the price of the lawyers needed.

And he is too stupid to see that there is a huge difference between little mom and pop contractors and major world economies and their leaders.

On top of that, he doesn't CARE that he is destroying America's reputation or it's future with former trading partners - all that really matters tis that his name is in the papers and the history books - for good or bad, it doesn't matter to him. He is the supreme a-hole.
