self driving cars will be a wonderful things for senior citizens, not so much for Corvette owners.

It falls under politics and other controversies. And if not now very soon it will be a huge discussion among those running for office. UBI, replacement of jobs by AI, etc.

It will likely be one of the 2 or 3 most important political issues of this century.

No way is there going to be a large scale fleet of self driving taxis in just 1 more year.
That is one reason I started this thread. It seems overly ambitious. However you and I are not privy to the latest advances going on right now. We only know about the public testing and whatever is made public. It might be closer than you think.
