The Russians have always seen themselves as an adversary to the US even dating back to WW2 era and I suppose nothing has changed.
You can say on the same hand they have good reason. Look at Us history concerning Russia. I would never let my guard down with the US in the room.

The GOP has been the leaders in the fight against Russia, they were the party to take a harder line then the left and it has been this way for decades. Now because of one man many GOP voters need to be convinced that the leader of Russia is not such a bad guy.

You people have lost your minds.

Evidence came to light right before elections, and Obama and Biden both said, rightly so, that had they made a big to do about it, they themselves would stand accused of trying to sway an election. It was quite literally- damned if you do, damned if you don't.

What the US SHOULD have done was forcefully react to Russian aggression in Crimea, but no one wanted to get involved. Well maybe McCain, but he's not exactly the darling in far right these days.

Cause, well they have a habit of eating their own...

The guy is corrupt and kills dissidents. He became more brazen in his efforts in the end of the Obama Administration and now he flat out has no shame in the crap he does. The fact that people are insisting he's not a bad guy and our president makes excuses for the man shows how much control right wing media has over the minds of the people who watch it.

Yeah, that's why Trumps energy policy is the EXACT opposite if what Putin, and the Russians want. Trumps energy policy is, and will cost them huge energy revenue. Follow the money. Oh, wait. I guess your Minority, and Gender studies major didn't include any business, economics, or finance. Never mind.

Russia's needs are not the same as ours.

Their motivation has been to lift the sanctions imposed upon them for annexing Crimea against all international agreements of the past. This Trump attempted to do for them (and BTW, for himself as a major consumer of Russian mobster cash which can no longer flow easily).

Parochial energy policies are not the major concern of Russia, they need those sanctions lifted, and Trump was their man for that purpose. He tried.

Your argument is a red herring.

The opposition between the u.s. and russia is completely artificial and which sole purpose is to advance the economic gains of powerful people in control of energy resources and arms.

All this talk about evil is superfluous. Yes, russia kills and imprison political dissidents, but accusing another country without looking at one self is hypocritical.

A report just came out that the chief of the police in honduras helped moved cocaine to the u.s., and this is on top of the current government changing the constitution for re-election and then stealing the general election. What does the u.s. do? congratulate them and continue to send huge foreign aids for more militarization of the country.

That is just one example. You could pick many other examples from just about any country. Instead people choose to "blame the enemy" for some made up reason.

Energy is Russia's major source of revenue. You are absolutely DELUSIONAL. Trump is doing EVERYTHING opposite to Russia's agenda, on every level.
