Search for "shoot to wound". It is a debatable part of the history of military doctrine.

Is this what my common sense consists of? Why thank you for sharing my thoughts. More knee jerk
How bout cutting a couple administrators and paying for a little security? Start with cameras, intercom, locks.

The NRA is nothing but a pimp for the prostituting gun manufacturing and sales profiteers. It's not about freedom or the 2nd Amendment. It's all about the bottom line____PROFIT!

The NRA has done absolutely nothing to ensure the happiness of our youth and it will not!

The very same can be expected from the GOP and its leader, the current POTUS....
Can you provide me with the NRAs ITAR tax number and 06 and 07 FFL for which they profit from the sales of firearms and ammunition?

Actually yes it has, Eddie Eagle program. Look it up.

Now I see where you're coming from. It is not the witnessing, like watching on TV but being at the scene. Yeah, that's a goal for everyone on this thread.

Mandatory marksmanship and gun safety training from pre-k. Adults 21 and up with a permit being permitted to carry concealed on school grounds. All these shootings have happened in schools where guns are banned.

Translation: let's never talk about this, because we don't want to do anything about it. Know what is really callous? Using this argument to support more kids ending up in caskets. If you call talking about action "politicizing" it, then YES - let's "politicize" it.

2. We can't pass laws because no law would prevent every gun death.
Conservatives employ an unrealistic bar of 100% effectiveness in order to defer any change to the status quo. Since we can't prevent every vehicular death, should we eliminate all traffic laws?

3. The laws will only stop law-abiding citizens and not criminals.
Another variation of #2. Since not every burglar can be stopped by theft laws, should we strike those out as well?

4. If only everyone had a gun, then these attacks would have been stopped.

We already live in the most gun-saturated nation on planet Earth, and how safe are we? If more guns correlates to more safety, we should have the lowest incidents of mass attacks anywhere; we don't. This argument also ignores the reality that if every kid, cashier, bus driver, grocery shopper, etc. needs to go through the day ready to quick-draw like it's high noon, then we as a society have long lost our way in terms of being a safe, civilized culture.

5. The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun...
Yes, don't deny that. We should have police, guards, etc. But we should also reduce the volume of bad guys with guns instead of taking it as a given. Other nations don't accept this as a given, and it shows in their statistics.

6. It's a mental health problem.
Sure, that's part of it. So if you feel that way, why is Trump's budget cutting mental healthcare funding, and why do conservatives in general endeavor to reduce citizens' access to healthcare?
And why do you strike down gun screening laws that endeavor to look at mental health of gun purchasers? You're making it HARDER for us to keep guns away from people with mental problems, not easier.

7. We feel so bad about what happened. Our thoughts and prayers...
No, you don't. **** your prayers. We don't need your prayers; we need action. You defend a status quo of unparalleled carnage in the modern world. You are complicit, you ****-eating liars.
Talk about Bullspit. Your post is full of it.

You just want more laws so you will feel good about yourself.

I guess when you watch your friends get massacred and armed police and swat teams take over your school and all the other things this girl went through in the past two days she has earned the right to "shamelessly" take up a "political agenda." She's a high school senior who is far more articulate than many adult supporters of the 'all guns, anytime, anywhere' political agenda.

I voted for trump and I have always been a republican but this is getting ridiculous how a tiny fringe of gun nuts controls gun policy in this country . Half of republicans favor stricter gun control https://www.google.com/amp/www.nydai...icle-1.3555837

There are alot of suburban white collar repubs , we are not all in trailer parks amassing weapons despite the media lies

This will the main attack ad for Dems if they want to win about how cowardly republican politicians really are

Of course the Dems may decide the real winner is supporting illegals , open borders , calling all repubs deploarablea and racist .When your leaders are idiots like Pelosi and Schumer , I doubt they will capitalize on the repubs big weakness

Name the gun control policy that would have stopped this shooting and then we can talk
