The refusal of the Supreme Court to overturn the corrected voting district boundaries in Pennsylvania, is a very telling event. Even with a conservative majority, they unanimously rejected the attempt by republicans to get the rectification blocked. More states will undoubtedly follow this lead and this red state conspiracy to deny fair voting practices, will end.
In fact, if it weren't for the hard-right gerrymandering done by state legislatures over the past decades, the Republicans would not have a majority right now in the U. S. House of Representatives. And they wouldn't have had one at any time during Obama's presidency. This un-American gerrymandering has swindled the people out of a decent government for a long time and it can't end too soon. The whole republican majority has been built on a house of cards, with a stacked deck and it's now falling.
Well the State Supreme Court ruled that the gerrymandering violates the Pennsylvania (not the Federal) Constitution, but don’t let actual facts get in the way of a good State Rights rant.
This is hilarious. The state decides to change it's own map, and the Republicans want the Feds to overrule them. The world turned upside down ...

Agreed!
The Republican party should change it's name to something more appropriate.
Boy, what is this country coming to when a political party cannot violates the Constitution and ensure their candidates always win???? That can't be what democracy is about!!!
.
If there is a jagged line, it is gerrymandered.
Districts should be decided by counties/parish lines, or it is gerrymandered..

There seems to be a lot of name-changing among political groups and commercial companies, to attempt to shed old baggage. The problem is, that if the Republicans picked a new name that was more appropriate, they'd be in even bigger trouble with the voters. How well would the "Regressive Party" work or the "Do Nothing Party"?
Boosting the Democrats' chances of retaking control of Congress in this fall's midterm elections, the U.S. Supreme Court and a federal panel on Monday rejected Republican challenges to a newly redrawn congressional map imposed on Pennsylvania by the state's high court.
The federal courts dismissed requests to throw out or halt use of the new district map, which the state court drafted after ruling that the preexisting map violated the state constitution's guarantee of free and equal elections. That earlier map, drawn by the GOP in 2011, is considered among the most gerrymandered in the nation. https://www.yahoo.com/news/federal-j...172614655.html
Another loss for Trump. He pushed for getting the US Supreme Court involved.
He must be tired of all the "winning".
but never the whining.
