Trump won 10 of the 18 new districts even as he carried the state by less than 1% in 2016, so in terms of this outcome, the map is pretty balanced. Partisan considerations aside, Pennsylvania voters are better served being in districts that are more of a cohesive geographic entity rather than an assortment of locations drawn together in convoluted lines to maximize power for one party. The legislature does have the responsibility to draw seats, but failed to do so within the state's constitutional requirements, so ultimately the courts had to take over the process.
It looks like a number of the districts are closely balanced between Rs and Ds so neither party can take winning for granted, which are in short supply nationally in these days of extreme polarization. My guess is Democrats will see a net gain of seats, but are more likely than not to remain in the minority.

The new map is NOT gerrymander free. It has now been gerrymandered for the benefit of the Democrats by a overtly partisan and activist 5-2 Democrat appointed court.

Sure, we can say that everything a state does is subject to federal jurisdiction using some lame argument, but I'm talking about what the founders wanted as opposed to how people who want to live in a dictatorship want.
You know what people don't want? They don't want to live in a district so gerrymandered that it looks like a f'ing maze.
There's not one thing democratic about that.
