But I thought all the information wasn't out yet? Were these protestors there? How do they know there was no justification if they don't know the details? Pulling a gun on a cop after running from them and disobeying is justification. Because they thought the phone was a gun.

OK, so let's refresh the basics: We have this system in place where the state is allowed to retribute against wrongdoers. This - theoretically, at least - ensures that the weak and the powerful alike enjoy the protection of the law. However: The state is a very powerful entity, and so we do not allow the state to carry out said retribution until and unless the state has established a very good case. And we insist that the punishment is in proportion to the crime. It's all written down in this pretty cool "Constitution" document.

Hinting that someone deserves to die for vandalism is of course a complete travesty if one professes belief in the principles outlined in said document.
He was shot not because of the vandalizm, but because he pulled out something from his pocket in the darkness.

Yes, when you screw up and kill someone you get a paid vacation.

I've posted several times with cases of white men and children being gunned down by cops. But that doesn't fit the narrative that 'they should have complied' and 'they're criminals' or 'we're not getting the whole story - surely he did more but it wasn't captured by the camera'.

They enable criminal cops because they're too stupid to see that this abuse of power can, and does, happen to innocent people of all races.
Seems to be lost on some, not everyone with a badge is a good guy.

Than there are some(as heard in this video) who get rattled too quickly, they don't belong in this line of work.

A good example is the officer in PA who shot and killed a man she had in handcuffs laying on the ground, all started with a traffic stop. She was facing murder charges, because that's exactly what it was.

What's so odd about that? Could have been on his phone, smoking, looking up at the stars, etc.

My point is he doesn't sound all that innocent to me.

And because the officers went in primed to fire at the slightest twitch.

But it seemed petch751 was linking the two, hence I decided to provide a quick primer.

Not your job, much less the job of the officers, to determine that.

Was he even the guy who was smashing windows? What does the neighbor say, the neighbor who chased the suspect with a baseball bat?

Running is not cause for lethal force.
Disobedience is not cause for lethal force.

At least not in civilized countries.
