North Korea/Kim got world recognition (something NK has been yearning for for decades), and a promise of no more joint US/SK military exercises in South Korea.
Donald Trump got a bunch of press and was able to say he "trusts" Kim.
It is absolutely STUNNING what Trump has accomplished at the summit.
Look people, if Trump doesn't get the Nobel Peace Prize after NK denuclearizes, then the Nobel committee needs to dissolve. It would become meaningless. Plain and simple.
If NK does denuclearize for real and all the fuzzy goals of that signing opportunity document are spun into a document that is ACTUALLY comprehensive and detailed and we get peace in Korea, out of this?
I'll pin it on him my damned self.

The North Korean test sight had already destroyed itself by accident back in November of last year, killing 200 of their nuclear scientists and technicians.
Kim has gotten Trump to cease military exercises. In a year, there won't be any American soldier on the peninsula practiced in his primary mission.
Kim has also gotten the equal recognition with the US president, which the Kims have wanted for 70 years.

People are thinking other presidents were "scared" to meet with Kim or something. None of them were. They just knew better than to make him feel like he's important.

After decades of sacrifice to get nukes, what are the odds they are going to give them up for a Trump promise?
If Obama had met with North Korea, Fox News would be playing doom music and saying:
"Obama has just committed to stopping our military exercises so as to appease North Korea. We saw him bow also too and he wore a tan suit. Obama is selling the United States to the North Koreans. Obama has legitimized a dictator!" More doom music.
NEWS ALERT. BREAKING NEWS. OBAMA HAS MET WITH NORTH KOREA. HE'S SOLD OUR COUNTRY AS WE KNEW HE WOULD.
Then they would bring out everyone from Dick Cheney to Sarah Palin to say Obama is a Muslim Kenyan meeting with a North Korean and there would be clips of the final scene from War Games' Global Thermonuclear War.
The drumbeat would increase daily so as to create a tension so intense that Orly Taitz would be leading a parade of tiki torches in no time.
Yeah, after the "successful" Iran giveaways, Obama learned his lesson? Rocket Man made the mistake of waiting until Obama was out and Trump was in to start amping up his saber rattling. Yet now he has a chance to look like NOKO's savior if things go the way Trump wants them to go. The future will tell.
