i'm trying not to read too much into it but...... it is bizarre that trump and cohen have, from what i've seen, always maintained a united combative front. in this situation trump is having an absolute melt-down while cohen is acting like he had friends over for afternoon tea.

I assume he passed Criminal Law 101 if he was graduated even from that third tier law school and passed the bar...
He knows his situation has just jumped from Judge Janine's court to likely the Supremes...
And this why the Mueller investigation should stop, and Rosenstein should be fired. If they keep on digging, they'll find more and more. Keep on digging, keep on referring to the JD until you find something.

Cohen may have already made a deal to talk. As a matter of fact, he could have made it a while back before the raid and been wearing a wire for a while.
I believed then, and believe now, that a Special Counsel should be limited to a specific purpose. In Clinton's case, Whitewater; in Mueller's case. links/coordination between members of the Trump campaign and the Russian gov't. to interfere with the election.
If a Special Counsel discovers unrelated potential criminal activity, we should have a permanent department he could refer the matters to. We could call it something like Federal Bureau of Investigations or Department of Justice.
Isn't that exactly what happened here? Cohen got handed off by Mueller to New York State. No need for another investigation Department of Justice within the FBI.

Next to impossible in this case. You're talking about violation of campaign funding laws and money laundering. You can't fake a money trail.

If I'm under investigation what I'm fine with is irrelevant. As long as law enforcement is following procedures then they get to go wherever the investigation takes them. These orders are coming down from the top law enforcement personnel in the country and are probably the most heavily scrutinized orders you will ever see. To just wave them off as a witch hunt is sophomoric.
Look. Trump brought this all on himself starting with being the first president to refuse to release his tax returns. Even though that's not illegal it should have disqualified his candidacy right there. What's he hiding? He may as well stood on a mountain top and screamed, "I'm a crook!". But, despite all common sense, you and the rest of the Trumpers voted for him anyway and continue to ignore lie after lie and one scandal after another. So now we get to find out what he was hiding and there's not a damn thing you or anyone else can do to stop it. The wheels are in motion.
Hey, maybe he's actually innocent of any wrong doing. Wouldn't you want to know that? Or do you just not care if he's a crook? You don't need to answer that, we already know.

No, the matter was referred to its proper jurisdiction and is still a DOJ case. The SDNY is a division within the DOJ that has jurisdiction over the Cohen case. This is handled through the usual channel because the matter is outside the scope of inquiry for the special prosecutor. The SDNY decides whether to pursue the matter based on the information provided, just as it would in other matters within its jurisdiction relating to federal law. In Cohen’s case, they apparently went forward.

And if they started going through your finances, but then evolved into looking into every other aspect of your life, including your entire family, everyone you've ever worked with, etc, you would be fine with that? You've never even so much as driven over the speed limit?
Who amongst you hast not laundered money or committed bank and wire fraud illegally paying off porn stars to protect a Presidential candidate? Let him cast the first stone!
The line of credit thing makes me very suspicious. Here's a guy who trades multi-million dollar apartment buildings in Manhattan at huge profits (suspiciously so). He made over $10M in profits from them between 2012 to 2016. He owns 17 cab companies in NY which is alleged to be his big money maker. Not to mention, Trump's personal lawyer, long time lawyer for the Trump Organization, Cambridge Analytics, etc, etc. And he can't get his hands on $130K in cash without resorting to a loan? Please. My guess is that before this thing is said and done, we're gonna find out a whole lot more about that alleged loan.
Its not as weird as you might think. A lot of "wealthy" folks are highly leveraged.
