A federal judge rejected an attempt by President Trump and Michael Cohen to block prosecutors in Manhattan from reviewing the materials seized in last week's raids. Interesting. For someone who isn't guilty of anything, Trump is sure acting like a guilty man

There have been several. Someone has been merging them into this one. Probably same person who doesn't think this topic merits a sticky. despite more replys and double the views of the last one in less time

nope, they've all been merged into this one. Things that reflect negatively on Trump must be condensed into the smallest possible space.

[I’ll let that stand for what I want to say.]

Because the people of NY hold their politicians to a higher standard than the nation as a whole. NY voters overwhelming voted against Trump.

So yes he indeed was forced out of office for far less than Trump has been accused of. In Spitzer's case he was consorting with women in the business. Trump appears to have groped every woman with half decent looks who shared an elevator ride or leered at teenagers in beauty contests.

Perhaps it was a not so subtle way to make sure Cohen didn't mention Spitzer's name. Nah! Spitzer already crashed and burned owing to his sex scandal.

There has to be something more here.

Warning this is a very shocking lude article about a politician who hired a Russian prostitute.

https://nypost.com/2018/01/25/judge-...dirty-details/

Whatever the reason is I hope someone in the NY Times is smart enough to figure it out.
Great minds think alike. Here's another article on the case of the Russian escort who extorted money from Spitzer.

This case was tried in October 2016, but the extortion started in 2014. That sure sounds familiar for some reason.

Bond set at $1M for woman accused of extorting money from ex-NY Gov. Eliot Spitzer | WPIX 11 New York

A Russian escort who accused former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer of assaulting her remains in custody under $1 million bond Tuesday evening after being arrested on suspicion of extorting about $400,000 from Spitzer over two years.

The prosecutor said that over the course of the last two years, Zakharova had taken $400,000 from Spitzer in individual payments ranging from $3,000 to $50,000 in exchange for keeping silent about details of their relationship.

IIRC, Spitzer also was hell-bent on cracking down on prostitution and came off looking like a huge hypocrite.
