If you want people off Welfare, put money into public schools and teach children so they have viable futures
If you want people off Welfare, stop trying to make money off student/college loans
If you want people off Welfare, support a national health system so all people have access to affordable health care
If you want people off Welfare, support family planning, educate youth about responsible sex acts not just staying "pure" until marriage, put money into educating young MEN about their responsibility to their children
And if you want people receiving government assistance programs to be ethical--
Then look to who are running those programs
Do you think an EPA head who fires people because they won't book him a first class airfare which is against Govt policy sets the right example
Do you think the head of HUD who is a wealthy man up from poverty himself should expect the government to pay 31K for a dining room set???
If you want a moral government, maybe choose someone who has a moral compass to run it

Living wage: no one can make a living wage in a service industry unless you are the owner of said service. These are the jobs that used to be teenagers' first jobs. They are not designed to support a family. You need to make something, have a skill or a trade. And here's where the Democrats own this--they gutted the manufacturing in this country beginning with the signing of NAFTA, etc. I lived near the former furniture hubs in NC. Those towns are practically ghost towns now.
We pour tons of money into public schools. We actually spend more on poor districts in some states like NC. Make parents accountable again. Localize schools. Get rid of Common Core, which sucks. Make schools year round and make the hours align with the majority of jobs.
Agree about student loans.
There are different ways to achieve affordable health care besides single payer. I liked Trumps idea of insurance across state lines. And absolutely the pharmaceutical industry is wreaking havoc in this country.
Your "moral government" comment would have more merit if both the Obama administration and the Clinton's weren't corrupt and morally bankrupt 10 ways from Sunday. Do you need examples?
