1. That industry is getting crushed. It is what I do for a living. Do you want a bunch of people to be out of work?
2. Gas is cheap as hell. Seriously.
3. How about helping that industry out for a change. It is insane right now.
Ya, it is a trade off. Both wells I have on the Eagle-Ford, have been dormant all year.
They even removed the pump and 3 storage tanks from the big well.
I still get lease money.

I don’t care about the oil industry. Not one bit. I don’t want to help out.
After how I saw Conservatives behave when the auto industry looked like it would fail, and their complaints about how the UAW needed to be busted up and how auto workers were overpaid?? I lost all sympathy for oilfield workers.
Y’all voted for politicians that said “let the auto companies fail.” So I’m fine with letting the oil companies fail. Goose, gander. Shrug.

That's your misconception. The auto industry in no way shape or form was going to fail. Obama just wanted to bail out his buddies. A few could have and should have gone under. Car sales would have been almost exactly the same and many of the ones who would have lost their jobs would have been rehired by the ones that didn't go under.
btw The politicians were saying let the free market reign and not what you made up.
Even I didn’t pay it any attention, until my Shell card bill came in the mail. Holy cow!! My monthly bill was 20% higher than last month and we drove about the same mileage as usual.
WTH? I thought all of this new “drill everywhere you can including in my driveway” type of hands off business friendly deregulation was gonna lower gas prices or at least keep it the same!
Didn’t think I’d see $3 buck gas this year. And don’t tell me about supply and demand because demand is no crazier now than it was last year. Save it.
So someone tell me what’s going on?
Gas has been swinging wildly here. Up one day down the next. And not Twinky swings. Talking 40 to 50 cents. It was 2.56 one day and the next several places were at 1.99.
And it's been yo yoing like that for weeks. Plus the small outlying areas like Gardnerville and Dayton are on average at least 10 to 15 cents cheaper than the cheapest place in Cartoon City.
I sure don't know what's going on.
