I totally agree with this, which is why Trump should stop trying to undermine the investigation. Wasn't it Trey Gowdy who said that if you are innocent, then start acting like it? Cohen flip? That remains to be seen. When you have a wife crying because her husband could potentially go away for a very long time? That's a hard one. Who do you choose? Your family or the president?

Cohen is just another piece of the puzzle plaguing this presidency. An emoluments lawsuit just cleared a major hurdle when a federal judge in Maryland refused the justice departments plea to dismiss it. Do you ever wonder what happened to Flynn? He must be telling quite a story because he has yet to be sentenced. The bigger the story, the sweeter the deal? Didn't Flynn attend some of Kushner's meetings with foreign nationals? Didn't Kushner lose access to classified information? I wonder if there is a link? Cohen met with Felix Sater, you know, that sketchy guy that Trump pretends that he doesn't know and the one that said in emails to Cohen that Trump could be president with the help of Putin. Aww look at that picture of the three of them together. That should be an 8x10.

So we have Cohen meeting with sketchy people, setting up shell companies to pay off playmates and porn stars, and Cohen has some dealings involving taxi medallions that might not be on the up and up. Hmmm. These are interesting facts, but yeah, you're right. Innocent until proven guilty.

Cohen flip? I know what I would do.

If Trump is really "telling it like it is" and open-faced like they say, all of his attempts to block and derail the investigation prove his guilt.

That statement was treasonous from the get-go. Whatever you think of Hillary, no American should be encouraging Russia to hack any fellow Americans computer system.
Trump committed treason that day as far as I'm concerned.
Trump encouraged Russia to hack Clinton's emails.

Trump demanded to be told the sources of the Steele Dossier before he would believe it. Shortly thereafter, one likely source is found dead in the trunk of his car and several more are hauled out of meetings with bags over their heads, never to be heard from again.

Trump handed classified intelligence over to two Russian spies right in the Oval Office.

Trump is committing these acts right our in the open. Who knows what is going on that we don't know about. There is a reason so many in his employ are communicating with the Kremlin.

Trump supporters don't care about any of this because FOX & Friends didn't/doesn't cover stuff like this so his supporters can go on living in their snowflake bubble of ignorance.

If Trump has done one thing right, it is that he tied himself to this Russia investigation very tightly, essentially making his continuation as President dependent on it. Hear me out:

What are the possible outcomes from the Mueller Investigation?
  1. Mueller finds nothing, Trump is exonerated
  2. Mueller finds enough to lead to impeachment and possible conviction (that last part is unlikely)
  3. Mueller finds enough to damage Trump politically, but not enough for impeachment/conviction
When you look at those possibilities, why wouldn't Trump tie his presidency to the investigation? Consider how difficult it will be for Mueller to prove anything, even if it is true, he only stands to benefit. Imagine if Mueller's investigation is completed and Trump comes out clean, or clean enough? He'll be able to point back and say "See? It was a witch hunt! You can't believe anything the media tells you, here is the proof!" And then he'll have the country in his pocket through 2024.

If he actually is guilty of collusion and/or treason, he either wouldn't remain president anyway or be so politically damaged that he'd lose re-election. So why not stand to benefit greatly from one of the outcomes?

While I voted Trump I am the furthest thing from his base.

I have an open mind about the investigation. I acknowledge I do not have access to the facts that the Mueller team has.

My crystal ball says that when the investigation concludes there will be insufficient evidence to charge Trump with a crime. It will however, take down others affiliated with Trump Org.
