Trump will resign before he's ever formally charged with anything. These last 16 months as president have probably been miserable for him.

altho i think if you asked him if he's having a good time in office he'd reply: " i'm having the best time. no other president has had as good a time in office as i've had. lots of people tell me it's the best time ever. lots of people. really good people. some presidents have had a really good time, not as good but very good."

One thing I'll say about the left is they often underestimate the resilience of Trump as well as the loyalty of his supporters.

My prediction right now is that ultimately Trump will fire Mueller, probably sometime mid to late summer. Democrats will want to charge him with obstruction of justice but the GOP congress, fearing the wrath of the MAGA voters, will refuse to act further. The midterm elections then become about impeachment. This mobilizes Trump supporters to come out in force and the GOP ends up retaining both houses of Congress. The Russia thing is then put to bed completely.

If he fires Mueller everyone is going to go nuts. I think you vastly underestimate the resulting reactions to that. You are right about folks underestimating the loyalty of his supporters though. Its going to take a lot to move that loyalty away, rightly or wrongly. These will be interesting times. I think people will die over this.
