Of course, she should have went along in the first place....but that's another story.

It's not like she had stabbed someone or anything....cops have to learn about the degrees of crimes and not make molehills into mountains.
laws are on the books for a reason... whether you think they are righteous or not

no cop should "look the other way" at ANY crime.... you lower your standards, you lower every ones worth

Perhaps but it has been rather indicated that she wasn't going to wait.

So wait for the real police with who?

STOP the lies. Any register on a breathalyzer if you are underage is a violation. .001 is a violation which means she blew a .000.

Stop the lies.

Paid less than a Wal Mart cashier.

The pay is not much. Class II officers are required to work a 40 to 48-hour work week, with a pay rate of $10.00 per hour in Wildwood, according to the city.

The cops in the Wildwood video are seasonal officers. What are they allowed to do? | NJ.com

I imagine that many times it is and it shouldn't be left up to part timers paid $10 an hour.

....... anywhere in that environment is hard but seems to be done during spring break in other communities. Like Florida.

One. You don't need probable cause. All you need is reasonable suspicion. A traffic stop is a detainment and a detainment is initiated when the officer has reasonable suspicion that you're about to, in the process of, or just committed a crime or infraction.

Two. The officer of the story had reasonable suspicion that the girl was drinking underage. Therefore, he has every right to ID the girl.
