Okay. So Canadians get employed. Like BMW plants in america employee americans. It is called FDI which america leads in. Part of the overall economy (not just trade deficits which you claim are always bad but have not explained why).

Oh and I forgot. Look at who sold a bunch of U.S steel plants to a foreign entity. Why Wilbur Ross. So is Trump trying to protect Inidan steel ills in america?

Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson Inc. could feel the pinch in both the rising costs of steel and aluminum, and in higher prices of its motorcycles sold outside the U.S.

"We support free and fair trade and hope for a quick resolution to this issue. We believe import tariffs on steel and aluminum will drive up costs for all products made with these raw materials, regardless of their origin," Harley said Thursday.

Your post is inflammatory.

You are trusting what Trump says is true but isn't.
USA spends less on imports from Canada than Canada spends on imports from USA, a trade deficit. Trump says the reverse is true. You can look this up for yourself.
NAFTA was created by Reagan and not Canada or Mexico. Trump doesn't tell you this. USA is not able to produce enough steel and aluminum needed for construction and military equipment. Trump doesn't tell you this but places a 25% tariff on it. Who do you think is going to pay more for steel. Not Canada.

I mean that couldn't possibly have to do with all of the kickbacks Trump and his family has been getting from the Chinese government, could it? Many Republicans in Congress don't even understand what in the hell Trump is doing.

This guy is destroying the reputation of the country in order to make sure he and his family line their pockets in the process. Putin elected the perfect Manchurian Candidate.
It proves Trump is just another puppet serving the Banksters and Wall Street.
It is bass ackwards.

We should only be putting tariffs on slave labor countries like China where workers have no rights as allowed under Capitalism.

Unions are outlawed in China.
Many of our European Allies support workers rights and are union heavy.
This tells us all we need to know.

With that said, I find it predictably funny that the Leftist Trump haters are now upset that Trump is not putting more tariffs on China. It wasn’t long ago (like just a couple of months ago) that they were slamming Trump for putting tariffs on China steel and solar panels.

Another example of the disingenuousness of the Leftist haters. No matter what he does, they are going to bash him.
I didn't see anyone complaining about China not getting hit with tariffs.

I do see concern for the flip in Trump and wondering what made him 'change his mind' and what he gave away in the deal with China.

Trump has now put more tariffs on US allies than on China

Putin's goal was to separate us from our European allies. He thought that Trump could accomplish that for him. It turns out that Putin was right on the money ...
