This is common sense to most logical people, but I imagine Trump voters will disagree:
If Donald Trump truly has done nothing wrong and has nothing to hide, then the Russia investigation will prove his innocence and he will be exonerated. With that being said, why does Trump want it to end so badly???

Because the investigation is a distraction that makes it difficult for the president to advance policies and positions that help America and American citizens. Exactly as the Russians planned when they provided a means for the main stream media to attack the president and harm this nation.

How long should it continue? Four years? Eight years? They are not using their own money for this, so they have an open piggy bank.
Put yourself in his situation.... Would you want a continual investigation in your life when you know you have done nothing wrong? Wouldn't you want it to end? Day after day after day, people are maligning your character and claim you are guilty... How would any of you handle that?
Trump supporters could care less about his innocence or guilt. Even if he was found guilty, it wouldn't change their support or how they feel about him at all.
As a Trump supporter I think you're probably right. He isn't Hillary. We worked for years to destroy her, and it seems to have worked. It took a lot of money and a little luck, but the big payoff - prevent her from becoming president - came. I could not be happier.
Did Trump conspire with the Russians to throw the election?............ I doubt it.
If he did conspire with the Russians to throw the election did it work? ........ No. Didn't make a darn bit of difference.
No matter what the Mueller report says The Libbies will pounce on every word, expand its meaning, and demand impeachment. It will never end and I think Trump knows that. Hillary, I think, thought her ordeal would end some day.
Trump is not "desperate". He is using witch hunt rhetoric as leverage to inflame his base and those who may be undecided. In other words, Mueller has now become a tool which is used by a president far cleverer than Mueller.

Some are losing perspective here...
A person signs on to that when they declare they are a candidate for POTUS. It's 4-8 years of 1/2 the country loving ya and the other half saying you're a crook.
If the congress is the opposite party, there is always something to investigate and somebody who wants to do it.

The fbi and other govt agencies have all been revealed as full of deep state traitors and crooks.....as most of us who are familiar with these spooks were well aware all along.

I understand that.
Saying you are a crook is different than an endless legal probe into the details of your life.
If that is indeed the case, then why has Trump called the Russia investigation a "witch hunt" 27 times? Why has he said that everyone involved is biased and a democrat? (which is false, by the way). f
Trump himself seems awfully biased, as if he's bothered or worried about what Mueller is doing. Trump is trying to discredit the investigation. Why?
Gee-wiz NeutralParty, maybe because every time something suspicious or potentially criminal is uncovered, it's either completely unrelated to the Trump campaign or it leads back to the FBI, DOJ, Fusion GPS, the Clinton campaign or friends of Hillary.
The IG report is scheduled for release on June 14th, and even left-leaning NPR is calling it a Comey-Lynch "stinkbomb!"
Now we have McCabe, the #2 at the FBI, referred by the IG for criminal prosecution trying to negotiate an immunity deal. If denied immunity, he'll almost certainly take the fifth.

Josh Campbell works for CNN. That pretty much says it all.
Because it's wasting our time and it's really nothing more than a way to explain away Crooked Hillary's loss.
Next.
Why is Trump avoiding meeting with Mueller? He could put the whole matter to rest in a couple of hours by answering Mueller's question.
