For the same reason I wouldnt allow the police etc onto my property or in my house even if I wasnt guilty of anything. Nor would I answer their questions etc. innocent til proven quilty of some made up crime.

No, not common sense at all. All you need to reference is the many innocent people who have been jailed because of crusading law enforcement individuals who pursued convictions, even with no clear evidence. Do you really believe that being innocent will ensure an exoneration? Would you just sit back and do nothing if some D.A. with an agenda kept investigating you for something you were innocent of? You would be a fool to do so. Trump ain’t no fool!
