Yep. Unless he says something totally out in left field during his hearings, I wouldn’t bother.

True, but you tend to be the type who would support the same kinds of candidates most of the conservatives here would support, so you got lumped in with them for the time being. Sorry.

That is what Alexander Hamilton said. That is why there is an impeachment process. Which the supreme court has nothing to do with. Once removed from office an ex president can be indicted and charged.

This pick does not help Trump in that regard at all. The question is can Trump pardon himself? That could go to the SCOTUS.

Heck, if Chuck Schumer doesn’t like him, he must be the right guy for the country.
Amy Barrett would of energized the base. This guy is a DC lifer. He may turn out great but I’m not thrilled

There are quite a few populist republicans that are disappointed with this pick. Kavanaugh is an "inside the beltway" guy and more of an establishment republican than a "far right conservative" like many Trump supporters are.

Trump picked the judge who is soft on abortion in order to get the guy that might protect him from being prosecuted and protect him from Bob Mueller.

The same reason that your knee moves when you tap it with a hammer.

Trump picked a guy who won't reverse roe v wade in order to pick the guy that might protect him from being prosecuted.

The Supreme Court is involved in criminal trials now? When?

No worries, but I've supported--and voted for--exactly one person in my entire life; Ron Paul in 2008 and 2012.

I don't support conservative, liberal, or Libertarian candidates. I opted out.

Right. Nothing jumps out at me about this guy. He doesn’t inspire any emotions or opinions from me. This is about as good as it’ll get for Democrats, and I know it’s gotta be less than inspiring for Right wingers who had hoped for a firebrand in the tradition of Scalia.

Meh..that’s all I can come up with. Let him in. Shrug.
