I have nothing but sympathy for the impoverished and no respect at all for the impoverished who insist on bringing kids into the world that they can't even feed.
I couldn't agree with you more. I feel sorry for the kids but let's not act like he didn't know where babies came from after # 3 or 4. We're much better off with him gone, less fatherless children for us to feed and pay for.

I don't pay rent, I own a home that was paid for by my paycheck.
My kids get clothing from stores, paid for by my paycheck.
My mom has medical insurance, paid for by her paycheck.

My paycheck comes from me working my ass off 5 or 6 days a week.

I understand. Me too. My point is some people in our country do not get the start that I did and I bet you did...from the git-go life is hard. Something we can't understand. They don't get to go to college. Some don't finish high school, as the family needs them to work.

A guy working for my husband left, going to a job that paid him $.50 more an hour. Husband didn't get that that money added up meant a little step up for the guy.....my husband never really understood.

I see both sides....just saying there are other points of view to consider...that's all. Not a big welfare fan, or proponent of free anything...

The 43 kids.......it's an horrible abuse of those children and the families. If he is not mentally challenged in some way, then he's scum and likely proud...

The county Can't. Seriously. By law they can only take a certain %, and they MUST leave some for him. Not much mind you, but some. And thats written into all of the paperwork. Judges do not enforce that law either, the child support agency does.

Your friend was lying.

I notice you ignored that poster's (the one who wrote the post you replied to above) other post where he or she wrote:

Men having a large number of illegitimate is not that uncommon in the ghetto. This is also a serious issue that is not really ever addressed. This man had 43 children, all likely living in the same area of the city. Many of his children probably don't even know each other. There are probably issues of inbreeding happening in many of these neighborhoods and that only makes these areas worse.

Where did it say he was on welfare or the kids were illegitimate.

He was 63 so I imagine most if not all of his kids are grown now.

If you tell me it’s a beautiful day in Hawaii I know the sky is blue, I don’t need that info.

Very sad story on so many levels

A lesson in irony.

The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is actually proud of the fact it is distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals."

Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.

This ends today's lesson.

The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Hope and change will come to Chicago once the Obama Library is built.
