I have picked up the impression that male homosexuality is primarily a form of consensual sado-masochism. That doesn't describe 100% of gays - but perhaps it describes 90%.
If that is true, it explains the use of the adjective "abomination" - especially so, if there is a strong associated desire for non-consensual Sodomy.
Does anyone have a reliable source for the facts of the case?

Consensual sado-masochism? Where are you getting that from? The 90% of gays you've been with? Or do you think gay sex hurts? Gay people sure don't have any kind of monopoly on Sado Masochism, especially "non-consensual Sodomy," ie rape, I think you'll find heteros dominating that arena.
