It would be better if he had Manafort testify about the meeting at Trump tower with the Russians and if Trump was aware but he still has Gates. For someone that regularly claimed there was no collusion I would expect that you would want Manafort to testify to clear Trumps good name.
Its not that Manafort refused to lie, its the fact that he did lie to Mueller's investigators. You do want to know the truth don't you, or do you just want the Trump family off the hook.

Or, alternatively, Mueller uses process and other substantive crimes to leverage witnesses to cooperate in revealing evidence pertinent to Russia election interference, which is pretty standard in investigations of organized crime and criminal conspiracies performed by seasoned investigators like those who are on Mueller's team. Of course, while Alan Dershowitz believes Mueller's conclusions will be "devastating" to Trump, online legal expert stburr91 has already decided that Mueller has no evidence of illegality and that nothing illegal happened. We will see who is right in the end, I suppose.
As an aside, Mueller hasn't "failed to prove any collusion" because his team is still in the evidence-gathering and case-preparation stage. You can't "fail" at something you haven't tried to do yet.

You guys forget, Manafort has the Statute of Limitations on his side. Always has and Mueller knows it.
Judge suspended the statute of limitations on at least one of those counts last I heard.
At this point, it's a lot to keep up with.

We know the truth, there was nothing about the Trump Tower meeting that was illegal. Not even the msm is disputing that.

If that blocked number belongs to President Trump, and Donald said in his Mueller responses that he didn't know about the Trump Tower meeting, he has lied to federal authorities, which is a federal crime.

There is no need to prove an actual crime to bring into serious question Trumps ethics and the legitimacy of his Presidency. A large part of the propaganda against his opponent was sourced from Russian Intelligence or at least affiliated hackers. The whole "e-mail/lock her up" thing is based almost solely on it. They've tried to play it like they were innocent bystanders to the whole thing. It's looking more and more like they were in the weeds with it.
Maybe the hard core kool aid drinking 30% of Trump fans doesn't care because they just really hate "the dims" and "the liberals", but a lot of people do care and a lot of his power will be lost.
