Ok with voter ID but don't want to keep people that shouldn't be voting because they aren't citizens from voting? Is that accurate here? WTH kind of worm hole concept is this? I mean, REALLY?
Dear Angry, not all citizens have state issued I.D.s
That's probably what's confusing you.
Also, you may want to consider not smacking your head so much. It does not appear to be helping.
Have you ever used a self-checkout station and been carded when you weren't buying alcohol or tobacco? B/c I have never been carded using a self-checkout station when I wasn't buying alcohol.
That was in 2013. Your link is showing how payment methods have changed since 2000. You don't think they've continued to change over the past 5 years as well?
If you pay with a credit card, you can be carded by the cashier, even with the little swipe machines right there. If you pay with a check, same thing. If you go to a Commissary, you must have photo ID. If you buy alcohol or cigarettes, you have to have a photo ID. I'm not sure why this reality escapes you.
Alcohol and cigarettes are not “groceries”. Trump referred to groceries. Few people have access to commissaries.
I go to groceries stores like Sprouts, Safeway or Fry’s (Kroger) to buy things like milk, bread, fruits, vegetables and meat and I do not get carded when I use my debit card.
Trump ran his mouth without thinking, again. He was exaggerating (and lying) as usual. He does that a lot.
I don’t know why people even pay attention to him. They should just ignore him.
If a person buys beer or wine from a grocery store you are carded. Trump was correct, again. #MAGA #KAG
Not always. I'm rarely carded when I buy alcohol. Actually, I'm only carded when I go to Total Wines because its store policy to card everyone no matter what they're buying. But even then, I'm only carded about 50% of the time.
But at the grocery store? Their policy is to card anyone under 30. That leaves a lot of people not being carded.
How would that work for voter ID, only carding certain people?
“You know, if you go out and you want to buy groceries, you need a picture on a card. You need ID.” Donald Trump
This is a lie.
All sorts of people buy groceries without a picture I.D. Seems like 91.6% of shoppers do it all the time.
Those who write checks could instead get the cash to buy groceries. They chose to use a check. Their choice.
But they could certainly make another choice and buy groceries without an I.D.
