Oh yeah, that's a stone cold lock, nor do I believe there's a likelihood of TrumpCo ever wearing stainless steel bracelets. I just don't think it's a rational fear that Pence is someone we should fear in lieu of keeping Trump in office. Pence will do what's best for Pence which means continuing to be an empty suit who is good for photo ops and little else. He won't do anything to give folks a reason to further dislike him but it still won't be enough to further his career at the end of the day. Ford 2.0 (except Ford was something of an honorable man)

Unless there is much more than this Trump isn’t going anywhere soon, the senate will never impeach. We are stuck with him for 2 more years. It would be best if he would just resign, this was terrible idea.

With the lowest ratings of any POTUS in history, why the heck would there be a civil war?

You might have a point if he had 80% positive ratings like his Boss, Putin. But he doesn't. At about 41% - and probably would drop another 5 or more points before an impeachment....

With a couple dozen showing up nationally for "Unite the Right" right in the middle of this fiasco, the very idea that there is some large violent movement that would fight to keep a criminal in office - or that would be against a Constitutionally approved Impeachment...is plain nuts.

I don't think even 10% of that 40% (that's 4%) would even think that way. Maybe .1% of that 4% would show up for a rally...and if any of them stated any violent activities, there are plenty of SWAT teams and national guard to take care of them....

Believe me...when we marched on DC with 700,000 in the early 70's if we would have done ANYTHING untoward, the armored cars were ready in the courtyards of Government buildings.

The Union will be preserved at all costs. People will come to their senses after a few dozen crazies die. It's not like the old days. How many people do you really think are ready to stand in front of a machine gun for Don the Con? Really?

Aren't you getting ahead of yourselves?

We still need a significant crime to get articles of impeachment out of the House.

Before Democrats do that, they'll need to actually win the House.

Last generic poll I saw had Democrats leading by five points.

Historically, Democrats have made little or no progress with anything below an 8-10 point margin.

With due credit given for enthusiasm, the House still looks like a push.

The Senate is even more unlikely to flip since Democrats will defend 25 seats to Republican's 8.

And while all 8 of the Republican seats appear relatively safe, 3 of the Democrat's seats are not so.

Also, fully two-thirds of voters want the Mueller probe concluded before the election.

When it's not anywhere near completion in November, and it certainly appears that it won't be (still no Russian collusion), swing voters may sour on the so-called Russia investigation at the same time that less enthusiastic Democrats abandon their dreams of overturning the presidential election of 2016.

Besides, even if you somehow force Trump out, President Pence (not a bad choice in my world) will pick-up right where Trump left off.

As of today, all you have netted is a campaign manager with a tax problem and hearsay allegations from known perjurers.

Moreover, the deep state (Comey, Brennen, Rice, Yates, Strzok, Page, Ohr, Ohr, McCabe, Lynch, etc.) has been discovered.

If the contest is one in which the worst slimeballs each side has to offer are exposed, your side seems to have already lost.
Okie dokie then.

Rest assured all this rubbish was hashed over when the leftist media was speculating about violence from the right if Trump lost.
Needless to say it is leftists that protest while people in the middle and on the right are busy working at their jobs.

Many a leftist rioted and destroyed property in an effort to suppress speech from evil people like Condelezza Rice.
If the right did that (which of course they wouldn't), the libs would be trying to use PC saying it was misogynists, racists, fascists against a woman of color.
Funny how they never say the same against criminals of their own political persuasion.

Fantastical and whimsical at the same time!!

And disregarding the 6 felonies by Mueller, not to mention the two GOP’ers under indictment for various fraud schemes.

Great party to support and defend- a criminal enterprise, lol.

Suckers.

Pence is not a good human being - that said, I'd rather have his limp finger on the nuclear button than Trumps....

The whole thing is a sad episode for our history. There is absolutely no doubt that the POTUS and many around him are Russian tools and operatives. If we don't do anything about it now - what does that say for the future? Why can't the next Dem POTUS, for example, take unlimited money from China and be compromised by them in multiple ways...and then claim "no collusion"?

A standard is being set - or not. Am impeachment won't make me happy....because the entire election and everything leading to it was Russian influenced. If the lottery accidentally prints 100 tickets where each wins the 500 million, they don't say "OK, well, we'll pay out all the money". They declare a misprint.

We need to declare a false election. But it won't happen. So - no matter what, this episode sets our country back. Cheating wins...also no matter what. You could get rid of Trump but much of the damage is already done.

However, what it does not mean is that all of these Americans would support removing Trump from office right now without solid evidence that he personally committed some crime(s).
Hopefully, prosecutors are working on that part.
