This is the elephant in the room when it comes to Trump's impeachment, especially if he is convicted and removed from office. I want Trump gone just as much as any other liberal but it cannot be done hastily or without undeniable proof of a crime. Why? Trump is a populist who is still backed by a very loyal base. Impeaching for the wrong reasons could cause our nation's ongoing "cold culture war" to go hot.
So what do you think? Is Guiliani correct in that Americans would take up arms to defend Trump if Congress tried to impeach him?
It's not going to happen because the Demonics aren't going to win back the House and Senate. If the Swamp Rats were able to take the Presidency from Trump, we'd just elect him again in 2020.
And don't forget, if the Swamp is able to remove Trump, you get Pence who is far more conservative.

If Congress moves to impeach and remove Trump, his base may not like it, but unless they've got fleets of battleships, jet fighters, and tanks, there's not going to be much they can do about it.
And the military may be mostly conservative, but conservative doesn't necessarily equal loving Trump. And folk might want to look up the top brass running the military and ask themselves if they really think these career guys will buck a legal process enacted by Congress for the likes of Trump. And if you think they would, then you're smokin' something that ain't even legal here in Colorado.

His followers are going to have a tough time keeping any allegiance stoked for a guy whose chickens are all coming home to roost in squadrons. He's left such a trail of bread crumbs for the legal beagles to follow it's utterly amazing how stupid he's been in his disdain for lessons that should have been learned by what happened to Nixon.
