Its difficult to convict bank executives lacking proof of actions on their behalf. One of the largest problems was the fact that there were federal regulators inside these banks that didn't know what was going on, if they didn't know how do you convict a CEO. We have always been lax on convicting banks for wrong doing going back to Reagan, a few convictions would get their attention. It doesn't mean Holder was complicit, these cases are complicated, not a slam dunk like Enron.
Holder was/is a crook.
More than 1,000 bankers were convicted during the "Savings & Loan scandal.
Yes Keating and Paul were convicted, I don't see a lot of others that was the result of Reagans deregulation of the banking . Today we have regulators internal to banks as watchdogs, that has not been the case in the past.
Look at Wells Fargo the last two years, no criminal convictions.

Rosenstein's conflicts of interest were reason enough but now a meeting with those he supervises provides all the cause necessary for his removal. It doesn't matter if it was a joke or not. As we have heard so often from the loons on the left, words matter and the audience does too.
