You assume I am a partisan sheep simply because you are. I'm not a Democrat and find Clinton's lies as appalling as Kavanaugh's. I've pointed out Clintons lies and hear crickets because Republicans (and Democrats) only care if it's someone from the other party but don't want to admit that hypocrisy is part and parcel of partisan politics.

That is why you had a rigged election to put Trump in the WH
Why you have a "rigged" FBI investigation into Kavanaugh's fitness to be a judge...
Anyone who saw his temper tantrum Thursday knows he can't hold his liquor or his ire--
And he isn't fit to sit on the bench or even clean under it...
But tell yourself how right your side is...
Your voice is loud now--but not always...

How nice your master has spoken.....
Maybe that alone will be enough to put some backbone into some GOP senators
But I doubt it
And it certainly didn't address his fitness to act as an impartial jurist or lying under oath...
Especially since they failed to investigate so many people with first hand knowledge...
But just stick you head in the sand--
You certainly won't be distracted by anything that way...

I don't think any of those GOP Senators gives a rat's ass what Jesus would do---which wouldn't be to vote for Kavanaugh or even to run for public office----but they sure do care what Trump will do...and Trump's base...
And Trump's base doesn't care what those law professors think or what the leaders of churches think.....
They don't care what reasonable people think...
They want to hate--on women, on minorities, on needy people (even when they ARE needy), on anyone who threatens what they think is "right"...and Trump tapped into that hate in his base and he is letting it air out...
And they like that...so they are going to keep on letting him behave abominable and be an ass with statements like last night's rally in MS...

What reasonable man would have done and said anything like Trump did or incited that crowd to cheer at???
But he and the crowd were in a feeding frenzy last night...
Those scenes were as bad as anything Hitler started in Germany to get his base riled up about the Jews and the foreigners and banks who were ruining Germany for Germans (and remember Hitler wasn't a German by birth so he started out a foreigner)....

I just don't see much hope for this country--someone like Jeff Flake that pulled that sleight of hand and duped Chris Coons into thinking he and the Democrats and Americans in general were going to get a REAL investigation into the truth of Brett Kavanaugh and/or Christine Ford are only going to get what McConnell and McGahn have doctored with with maybe the help of Kavanaugh's Yalies--Chris Wray and Rod Rosenstein (I hate to consider that--but the proof is in the pudding....or is that Harvard....)

The GOP doesn't give a fig (And there is hidden meaning in that comment just like in Kavanaugh's yearbook) if putting Kavanaugh on the Court is a travesty...because they want the power...for ever and ever...
Put Kavanaugh on that court and you might not see another election...after the mid-term...
That is what I am thinking....
The reality is, Donald Trump is a fake Republican and acts like a Hollywood liberal. He's just weaponized the behavior commonplace among the super-Democrat entertainment community in favor of the GOP. The Left doesn't know how to take seeing their own worst behaviors parroted back at them against all their pet causes. The GOP doesn't know how to take having Trump doing it. Everyone is very confused and honestly I think that's Trump's whole game.

Comparing the man to Hitler is pretty ridiculous. What group of legal residents of the United States is Trump routinely railing against and demonizing? Who does he plan to exterminate? Not Jews. Not blacks. Not Muslims. Not Hispanics. Not Native Americans. Not white people. Not Polynesians. Not Asians. Not Hindi. The guy won the election on some very simple things: Stop trying to sneak into our country illegally. Other countries, stop screwing us in trade deals. Working class Americans, I'm gonna get you your jobs back. And he's pretty proud of the fact that his efforts have apparently driven African American unemployment way way way down. I still find Trump distasteful, but Hitler he sure as hell is not. Trying to say that greatest de-regulator in living memory is a totalitarian in the making simply doesn't make sense. He absolutely is a cult of personality, a cult I've no intention of joining. The same can be said of Obama and every president we've ever had to one extent or another. But where's the power grab? Do you honestly believe that the US Military would support him in hostile takeover? All of those crazy rednecks all across the USA with their super scary AR-15's would turn on him in a hot second. Not the FBI, not the CIA, not the local police departments. Nobody would back him in a bid to become the fascist dictatorial Emperor of the United States. It is hardly obvious that he even wants to become such at thing anyways, but he has absolutely no path to power. His supporters want less government and more freedom -- the exactly opposite of totalitarianism. Trump might secretly deeply and desperately wish to become Fuhrer of the USA. Honestly, I don't think that's what the guy wants, but if he actually did, he's got no way to get there.

Trump is a master of bait and switch. The magician is up on the stage distracting you while he sneakily does his thing. Trump has had every intention of keeping the Left laser-focused on him saying outlandish things so much that they don't tend to notice what he's actually doing. The 2020 election will divide America into two groups. People who are obsessed with Trump hurting their feelings vs people who notice that he's getting results. The country is doing awesome right now. The squishy non-partisan center -- at least 60% of voting Americans -- tend to vote a good thing going. I'm not voting for Trump ever, but I understand why some people do and will. When I hear Trump, I hear the Ultimate Warrior ranting about crashing the plane.

That the FBI never had any intention of verifying if Kavanaugh lied under oath about his drinking habits or his sexuality since he made it a point to claim he was a virgin until marriage...
That the GOP had no intent in making this a cooperative effort to allow input from the Democrats who represent more than 50% of the people in America and who might want to have a say in what the FBI checked into based on testimony under oath...

Grassley himself was trying to force Ford to turn over her therapist's transcripts and the data from the polygraph exam although he outright refused to allow both of them to testify at the Thursday hearing in person AND admit their information into evidence at that time...
Nope he wouldn't allow that because he couldn't compel them to testify to what he wanted--
So now he is trying to smear Ford's story all over again by claiming to want this additional information so he can cherry pick what helps the GOP's case...

The only people who are afraid of talking to the FBI are those who have something to hide...
You have more than 40 people last count who knew Kavanaugh at Yale and want to testify about his drinking habits and party habits---and none of them were questioned...
No need to ask why--because their honest testimony about Kavanaugh's behavior would put paid to his "oath"

He is very likely going to be the first Supreme Court justice to be impeached from the bench...
If he and Trump together don't tear down the Constitution to get their way...
Consider what you wish for GOP...
BK never said he was a virgin until marriage. He said he was a virgin in high school and well into some indefinite time in or past college.

However, what I am truly curious about is how you expected an FBI report to determine when he lost his virginity. Please explain.

There is no information in that "letter" about who took the testimony, or anything to indicate that it is a genuine document. Do you have anything further? If not, it looks like a fabrication, and it is fishy that he wanted to remain anonymous.

If he's legit or not, the FBI needs to question him, don't you think...?

This again....not anonymous, redacted. You do know the difference, yes?

Certainly he was. "Impeachment" is a formal accusation, no more, no less. "Acquittal" means he was found not guilty of the charges.

I think the non partisans tend to understand that the president's power is limited and don't buy his claims of being solely or mainly responsible for a good economy, plus the economy is still not good for many Americans and that's not changing, corporatism is alive and well and busy ensuring the opposite of a free market. Walmart and others can throw some bones with $11/hr or whatever but a great many people aren't keeping up with inflation. Independents are generally not those who fall for the "other" as enemy that Trump thrives on.

For a lot of people Trump seemed like a real difference. I know a couple of people like that and they are not happy with him. I totally understand why they would put hope in a non politicia?n but a wealthy, egotistical, reality star, developer form NYC was only ever going to care about himself and his rich friends. The cult is hopeless but a good number who voted for him won't do it again. Not that we are likely to get a decent D either but I think the best we can hope for is divided power, so DC can do as little damage as possible.
