How about Christians who try to force their beliefs on everyone else by pushing those beliefs into politics. How about Christians who stand on street corners at pride events with their hate speech and “god hates ****” signs.
Well yes, a few people (who we're told shouldn't be taken to represent an entire religion) , are way worse than mandating a national religion under threat of death and throwing anyone who dares to exhibit "gay pride" off a building.

Long after it had been established throughout the Middle East and Africa. There were Christians in Ethiopia and India and Persia as early as the 3rd Century AD.
Christianity was born in a land and people under the control of the Roman Empire and was quickly adopted by emperor Constantine around 330 AD. But the origin is not the point. Sure Christianity spread to not just Europe but Islam and other religions wiped it out like Islam tried to in Europe.
What was European about the Roman Empire? Most of it resided in Asia and Africa, those regions also were the most populous and wealthiest. There were a string of emperors and political leaders who were from North Africa and Syria. Also Roman culture borrowed heavily from much older Eastern cultures. So how is it European?

Do you know where Italy and Rome is? That's where the Roman Empire originated. Do you know what an empire is? It's filled with tributaries and conquered people. You're so anti-European you create alternative realities and histories.
It doesn't make it "European" because we now consider Italy to be geographically part of Europe. Culturally Rome wasn't a "European" entity. End of.

Celtic, Germanic and Slavic tribes are the ancestors of most Europeans. The Romans considered these tribes to be barbarians and enemies of the Empire. While the Romans borrowed heavily from Greek, Egyptian and Near Eastern cultures, they didn't embrace any of the culture or religion of the Celts and Germans.
Do you think liberals would have respected Christians and Christianity more if the religion and its adherents were beheading people or advocating such of, asking infidels (non-Christians) to convert, to die or to pay extra tax, throw gays off from roof top buildings, stone adulterous to death, demanding capital punishment for insulting Jesus/Christianity, forcing women to cover themselves, ban alcohol/gambling/prostitution, etc. in the 21st century?
Seeing off topics and anti-Christian bashing on this forum is really sickening. Liberals likes to take advantage. Wish we could have them live in an Islamic nation and then came back to truly appreciate Christian and Western values.

The Romans were harsh to everyone they conquered. I don't think you know much about European history and cultures and that it flowed in and out of Italy and also the middle east. Europeans share close ancestry and culture. I get it you think the middle east is superior to Europe.
That does not seem like a very Christian attitude to me. You have chosen a group of human beings to hate and then falsely assign attributes to them that justify your hatred. What would Jesus say?
Amazingly enough, I am both a Christian and a liberal. In fact, there are many Christian liberals. Isn't it about time that Christians come together as a group instead of splintering off into various hate factions?
