Even though Obama said Kanye was jackass, he still would have never let Mr. West humiliate himself for his own selfishness. I don't think Trump feels comfortable around intelligent, strong, articulate, African American men. All of his African Americans have got to have street cred. Even Ben Carson came up with a street cred story to ingratiate himself with Trump.
There was a time in Politics when white Republicans were clamoring to be seen in the company of distinguished "race men" as they were called, like Frederick Douglas, George Washington Carver, or Booker T Washington. Trump has Kanye. I remember the clip of Kanye walking into a pole and he cursed the pole like an idiot.

I don’t know much about West but what makes him an expert, has he been an outspoken leader for underprivileged in the past. Taylor Swift just tossed her support to one candidate in her state and was criticized heavily but West sits in the Oval office for 40 minutes offering his opinion for everything under the sun. I think there are more knowledgeable people than West.

If he's sincere about putting thousands within his culture to work, if he is as driven as he says he is about revitalizing his home town, then I can get behind that 1000% and not give a squat that the left and the majority of blacks are beating him down for it.
