With a mass of people this large traveling so far... there are questions (not mine, but good questions)...
Who is feeding all of these people? According to Telesurvtv.net, 1,400 Hondurans left San Pedro Sula on October 14 (last Sunday) for Guatemala. The invaders have grown to about 4,000 since then. Do you have any idea how much food that would take? Since they are on the move, they require more caloric intake than normal. None of these people look as if they have missed a meal. And who is keeping them hydrated? For real. I am not kidding. Potable water trucks are somewhere out there. We just need photos.
Who is providing medical services? Statistically speaking, you cannot have that many people without having medical care. Someone will turn a, ankle, get sunstroke, or the norovirus. Think about a cruise ship: stomach virus breakouts all over hell and half of Georgia. Are we supposed to believe that these poor Hondurans have better handwashing habits than those who cruise Carnival? And speaking of sanitary facilities…
Where are they doing #2? I have said this to my poor, beleaguered husband two, three, maybe four times a day, every day this week. Are these people dropping trou at the side of the road and taking a dump? Is it like a marathon and someone has pre-positioned port-o-potties every mile or so? What about toilet paper, hand sanitizers and poo-pourri? Talk about a hazmat situation. Four thousand people moving about 1,200 miles. The hazardous material clean-up would be unreal. To quote the movie “Envy” starring Jack Black and Ben Stiller: “Where does the poo go?” Real world here, folks. Guatemala must have an environmental disaster on her hands.

I am hoping for any time now he will declare it legally a national emergency and send the military to the border. No more kid gloves...time to clamp down HARD! To hell with the backlash.
Oh look, another scare tactic by the biggest coward out there. And the cowards mentally stunted followers lap it up like slobbering sheep. How sad for them.
INVASION: Army of Illegal Migrants Is Marching Its Way Through Mexico to U.S. Border

Mexico is allowing a horde of over one thousand illegal (mostly) Central American migrants–many of whom are infants and children–to march through the country on their way to the United States where they will either seek asylum or try to illegally cross the border. The invading migrants are organized into groups and sub-groups like an army.
A mother, her daughter and granddaughter from El Salvador–three generations of illegal aliens on the march through Mexico to the U.S.
Buzzfeed has embedded a reporter, Adolfo Flores, with the illegal migrant army which is being led by the group, Pueblos Sin Fronteras. The migrants receive guidance and training from Pueblos Sin Fronteras but are reportedly responsible for their own expenses, food and water.

If you seek to protect the country and honor the laws in place - what should be done?
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but if a person, or persons flee a country due to political turmoil, and they state that they are seeking Asylum, I think we HAVE to give them a hearing. I don't think we can legally turn them away. I'm making NO STATEMENT on if this is how it SHOULD be, but I believe that it is actually how it is. So, to answer your questions, what should be done, is one of the following:
1. Allow them in, then detain them until a fair hearing is given, or
2. Allow them in, then detain them until a fair hearing is given AND do what Trump 'says' he'll do, and work to have the laws changed.
Trump may or may not be right about the threat that they present, but he'd be wise to do something he's rarely done before, and actually follow the law, instead of telling lies and putting his extreme ignorance on display for the world to see. (Of course he's not THAT stupid. He's just playing to his base. THEY are THAT stupid.)
We cannot let a single one of them in if for no other reason than it will encourage more dangerous journeys like this one to develop.
