Whites are the only ones hard to tell. Blacks, Hispanics and Asians are overwhelming liberal. 80/20 about. Whites are the true swing voters, can go either way also whites are about 65% of the population. If only minorities were able to vote the whole country would be blue. If only whites were able to vote it be all red.
Sitting around the conference table, I noticed none of the women wore nail polish and hardly any make up. Not sure what that means. Oh, don;t make a mistake that just because someone carries him/herself as conservative necessarily vote Republican. They could agree with you point by point but when they walk into the voting booth, all is forgotten
young buck with truck, red, college kid, blue, teacher doctors anybody in fast food blue, construction people or those that work is service red. anybody over the age of forty except teacher, government or AA red, military , red. 90 % of all AA, Asian and 100% mexician blue. anybody without a job, single parent family, very low on income blue. the hard one is elder female widow. could go either way
those that demand government pay for everything blue
those that just want government to leave them alone so they can go fishing red
independents dont count, they will swear on the death of a family member they are independent but behind the curtain 100% blue
A bunch of our neighbors SAY they are Independent, but if we ask them if they ever voted for a democrat, they always say no. We think they register or say they are Independent because they don’t want anybody to know their business. Simply that.
No we Independence always tend to vote for the lesser of two evils.
I think you're fairly unusual. I live in a state with a huge number of unaffiliated voters who all showed up to vote in this mid-term election. If it was a mystery where their loyalties lay before -- and it really should not have been -- it certainly isn't now. The unaffiliated voters, which includes my entire family, are definitely partisan, and it's very clear that we all fall on the same side of the aisle.
How accurate do you think you would be in identifying a persons party affiliation just by looking at them?
50 year old black guy....probably democrat. 60 year old white guy with a resting frown face.....Republican.
Men about 80% of the time I can pick it.
Women, about 50% of the time, unless there are distinct clues. Blue hair, fat, tats and 20 cats..... I can nail that one 100% of the time.
