Again, what does that mean? "Putting on your big boy pants"? I'm not allowed to think this is grossly inappropriate? The colleges they applied to and maybe already admitted to aren't allowed to rethink their choices after this "silly stunt"? Why is it that only those who seek to be totally tone deaf and offensive have the freedom of thought and action? Why do you believe those of us who totally disagree with what they did, finding it reprehensible, should be deprived of our freedom of thought and action?
Perhaps you were the perfect PC child who said or did nothing you later regretted but most of us said and did things that were not in the best taste like these kids. But back then we did not have social media or SJW's looking for the slightest thing to condemn.

Let parents discipline their kids how they see fit. What people are against is denying them access to a university education, and hence their entire future earning potential, over a hand salute. Even if they have Nazi's in mind, so what? Are they to be made into societal lepers now due to this?

It was not a Nazi salute, they were waving goodbye. It is hard for me to believe the number of jack asses in this thread would read a Nazi salute into this. The photographer explaned it in the article.
I suggest everyone Sig Heil it to make it meaningless....

No, I wasn't the perfect child. I even got suspended once for being an idiot. Dumb actions = consequences. And if I applied to a college that didn't accept me because of that suspension, it would have been my fault.

First of all, this is hypothetical. None of us know if any college admission process has taken this photo into consideration. TBH, it would be hard to do so. How many college admission staffers will recognize their names during the application process? How many of us even know their names?
But your attitude and lust to see them punished this way is what I'm commenting on. It's an attitude of a low person.
