It's a serious question. I'd like to see someone articulate why a wall is better.

I didn't ask you that. What is your answer to the question asked... Or don't you have one?

The “advanced technology” consists mainly of sensors which would alert authorities of intrusions. It would not prevent them. Agents would have to be dispatched, hopefully capture the criminals, hold them feed them, provide shelter for them, provide medical care for them, take applications for asylum from them, etc. A wall would negate much of that. Now if you’re talking technology consisting of a minefield and automated machine gun sentries to terminate all crossings, I’m on board with that!

The left hasn't come up with any options better than the wall. The experts are the agents on the border who want a wall. Not the ones sitting in an office some place coming up with theory the left wants.

Why is a proven solution better than some liberal fantasy that doesn't exist? YOU have to prove that your idea is better than a wall first. But you can't.

The Wall is the only permanent, physical solution to stopping foreign nationals from illegally crossing the Mexican border.

Other countries, such as Israel and Hungary, have successfully stopped illegal entry into their respective countries by using walls and border barriers.

Unless you're talking about science fiction, there is no technology that will work better than the Wall.

A wall won't stop all of those hypocritical employers from employing illegals.

Enforcement against employers > wall

Look two posts above your own to see just how wrong you are.

But I understand, your answer is "I want a wall because I want a wall." Gotcha

Why?

Is it only because you want to support Trump?
Or is the fact of a wall - a physical deterrence - somehow more comforting?
If what you're saying were real and proven I'd want to see $30B spent so that we could implement both a wall and your miracle technology.

I don't recommend spending money without researching the product first. You asked if there was a cheaper more innovative way of stopping illegals, would I vote for it, and my answer is: I'd love to research it....
