The Democrats don't really want to compromise and if Trump allows the government to re-open without a deal that he can live with then he will never get one from the Democrats and he knows it. It's all the leverage he has. The Democrats are requesting that Trump re-open the government and they'll talk about the wall later with Trump. Right.......

There is no lie unless a promise is never fulfilled and if someone at least makes an attempt to fulfill their promises then I wouldn't call them a liar. Maybe in liberal world with an agenda it is though.
Were you and yours concerned about who was going to pay for the wall back in 2006 when the actual wall bill passed? It was to be soley funded by the taxpayer. Schumer and Obamas both signed that bill!
I can't believe Trump was so stupid as to try to spout "facts" and "figures" that can be easily checked for their veracity rather than just spewing emotion - like he did for the last half. I look forward to learning how many Pinocchios he gets!
he is right about the security of the border....it has been a joke for decades.......when you have human trafficking coming across the border that is a human crisis. When you have the drug cartels bringing their poison and violence to our inner cities (especially Blacks and Latinos) that have destroyed and killed more people than the Vietnam War that is a crisis.
We have gone to wars overseas for much less than this.

Aside from that, Trump's wall wouldn't help much. We have a "wall" (a slatted barrier - such as Trump now says he'd accept) here in Cochise County. It doesn't stop illegal immigration.
Trump's wall would be a huge waste of money.
