I haven't been to a fast food place in quite some time but from what I see of prices I have to believe a local caterer would have been a better choice for little if any more $$$.

Yeah, he's 5' 5" or 5' 6".

My Rep/Congressman (Kevin Brady) is even shorter, at 5' 3".

IIRC, Brady is the shortest male member of Congress.

Considering how cheap Trump is I don’t see him paying for it out of pocket.

Cold Fast Food isn't fun.

You'd think his nearby hotel would have a kitchen staff that could have provided something nicer.

For two reasons, I think.

1) He really thinks McDonald’s is good, quality food, since he enjoys it so much. Which is twisted enough...

But, then...

2) He had to pay for it out of his own pocket, so he didn’t want to spend too much money.

Get real! There are TONS of small business food joints around there that would benefit greatly from this event—especially since they are getting less income because of I-1’s furlough.

Had he gone to a mom-and-pop food joint, he’d be getting praised. As it is, he is getting panned!

”Help out all the people at McDonald’s.” Yeah. Big corporate Mickey D’s needs help. Please.

Even in terms of fast food, these three chains are at the lower end of the price range.

The cheapskate could have at least gone to 'Five Guys'.

This is a cute and probably well received act on the part of the WH. Take off your grumpy pants and start thinking like a normal person. POTUS isn's a King, and he doesn't have to handle everything a specific way to make it work. You'd be praising a Dem if they had a weeny roast on the South Lawn and you know it.
Actually, one of the first things that occurred to me was that an actual cookout - most people love cookouts - would have been perfectly fine, except, you know, that snowstorm they just had in D.C. Serving reheated fast food to guests, unless maybe it's for a child's party? Who does that? It's tacky, and if anyone else did it, all the Trump people who are cheering him here would agree that it's tacky.

Cheap garbage dressed up with silver platters. He created a metaphor of himself. How embarrassing.
