Since by law he is prevented from delivering the SOTU address without the proper protocols, Trump as always demonstrates that laws are not made for people like him.
Please quote the Federal law, regulation, or United States Code (USC) that prevents the President from delivering his SOTU from any venue he chooses. I know it is not in the Constitution!
Thomas Jefferson did not present the State of the Union himself. He wrote it and it was read to Congress.
Wasn't until 1913 when Woodward brought back the show.
Also -- there is nothing that says the State of the Union has to be on the 29th.
I think that Trump should have chosen to move the location or method of his 2019 State of the Union, rather than having Pelosi be the one to decide how it should have been done.
She did give him that opening to take control of it.

Workers would get their paychecks if Trump would open the government. Dems have passed numerous bills to do just that.
Dems and Reps passed a bill they agreed to weeks ago. Trump was on board, then Ann Coulter called and he walked away. This is his to own. Even he says so.
