When anyone complains about rich people being rich.........the complainers are nothing more the communists.
There has always been rich people and poor people...........get over it
Of course it is. People need to be responsible for their own decisions.
You don't understand...
Yes of course people need to be responsible for their own decisions, but this does not mean that people should not do something about helping children born into poverty, for example. Or that we can't or should not do what we can to improve the quality of life (with better education, health care, etc) for all concerned.
Two very different areas of focus in any case!
You want to teach people, young adults, older adults, how to be responsible. Fine.
You want to teach people how to overcome the challenges of poverty?
How to address the challenges that infants/children born into poverty must face?
That's another matter altogether, especially as a practical matter!

Thanks for just that extra push I need to sign off and do something else now...
I can't begin to explain how ridiculous your comment is and no doubt best I don't to keep things civil here.
I don't advocate socialism as generally defined, but pointing at Venezuela as example of socialism is like pointing at Enron as example of capitalism, or Flint, Michigan as example of America's water quality...
Bernie Sanders "pointed" to Venezuela as an exemplar of income equality only 8 years ago. from his website:
These days, the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina, where incomes are actually more equal today than they are in the land of Horatio Alger.

Don't sign off.......continue to make silly comments how everyone should have it all. Wake up, it doesn't work like that. The Communist Manifesto states it all..........blame the rich for ills of the poor. Blame the rich for peoples crappy lives, blame the rich for everything crumby in your lives.
Funny how the complainers never "thank the rich for paying a large percentage of income taxes" compared to the poor and middle class. Stop being a Commie and thank the rich......
When leftists like Neuling start using words like "fabricated" and "self-declared" and "biased", he's telling you your data and sources are garbage. And you will NEVER be able to find data or a source that is "reputable" unless he agrees with the viewpoint. Same principle when arguing climate change or any other subject with a leftist.
You see, he sees the world as it really is, and the people who don't see it the same way are not to be taken seriously. LOL. You can spell out the conclusions so that a grammar school kid can understand it, but in the end, you are just wasting your time.
Good point. Their delusion is so strong and so complete that nothing can cut through their brainwashed mindset.

I do help them. I pay taxes.
The get free primary education, free secondary education and free post-secondary education.
Please explain why they blatantly refuse to take advantage of the free opportunities I have provided for them.
In addition to providing them with free education, I subsidize their housing, buy their food for them, and pay for their healthcare.
Plus I provide many other free things like free parenting classes, free personal financial management classes, and many other life-skill-based programs.
In many instances, I also pay for their electricity and natural gas use.
What the hell else do you want from me?

So, you're complaining because you chose to go to a college that was way too expensive and you really couldn't afford.
You could have chose to go to a less expensive school, but the bottom line is you didn't wanna.
You'll have to live with your mistake and hopefully learn from your mistake.
15 years ago, I went back and got two additional undergraduate degrees, a Master's and a PhD, and I didn't use student loans. I worked full-time 2nd or 3rd shift getting my undergraduate degrees, then 2-3 part-time jobs in graduate school. I used Pell Grants, State educational grant, plus some money from private grants.
The federal financial aid form does not hook you up with private grant money. You have to search them out and apply for each grant individually. Some require you to submit an FAF, but most don't, although they may require a verification of enrollment.
