You know, it doesn't matter what we think. The French fire fighters responded saying it wasn't a good idea. End of story.
Whether you think offering condolences to the French people is the right thing to do or not, is up to you. Personally, I think it is important. The loss of Notre Dame is a tremendous loss. The people of the world mourn its loss. The French are not alone in their mourning.
Notre Dame has the best collection of Christian relics in the world. The cross that Jesus was killed on is inside of Notre Dame. I hope they were able to save this stuff. Unbelievable.
