Iran cannot attack Israel for the exact same reason Israel cannot attack Iran. It's called "the Laws of Physics."

Iran can only use proxies in Syria and Lebanon to attack Israel.

Since Israel cannot attack Iran, it uses the US as a proxy.

You wouldn't understand, because you were never involved with, nor did you ever train for, the invasion of Iran.

It's real simple.

It goes like this: land and carrier based strike aircraft take out the bridges in the Zagros Mountains and damage the hydro-electric power plant, while a Brigade Combat Team takes up a blocking position at the junction of Highways 8 & 10.

Game....Set....Match.

It will take years to rebuild the bridges and repair the power plant, so nothing is coming through the Zagros Mountains, and so long as the Brigade Combat Team has air support, they can sit there indefinitely.

The US now controls 80% of Iran's oil and natural gas and their major ports. Nothing is being imported or exported.

After 30 days, the Iranian people have no food, limited water, no gasoline, no diesel, no electricity and phones or other communications.

They'll be in the streets fighting each other, fighting the Revolutionary Guard, fighting the regular army, and the Revolutionary Guard will be fighting the regular army.

The US just sits back and laughs, and when the dust clears, it takes over.
An invasion of Iran would not be so simple:

A conflict with Iran would not be like the Iraq War. It would be worse. - washingtonpost.com

I wonder if the U.S. Air Force has installed the new Heavy Release Capability (HRC) pylons onto the the B-52H bombers. These HD pylons would allow the BUFFs to carry multiple 20,000-pound class weapons - that means any bomb or missile the service currently has in inventory, and could be a prelude to integrating new weapons, such as air-launched hypersonic cruise missiles, onto the bombers in the future.

My guess is that the USAF will load a 20,000-pound GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB /"Mother of All Bombs") under each wing, and one GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), a precision-guided, 30,000-pound (14,000 kg) "bunker buster" bomb internally.

Once the USAF has established air superiority and neutralized Iran's air defenses, the BUFFS could then lumber in and use these truly awesome weapons to penetrate and destroy Iran's fortified underground nuclear industry.

Now that's what I call MOPing up!

BTW - you all do know that we already have bombers in the region?

Six B-1B Lancer supersonic, variable-sweep wing, heavy bombers are stationed at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, directly across the Gulf from Iran.

Iran is sinking into the ground, not much hope left.

Inflation, floods, drought, sanctions, war. Iran is over. The ancient historic Iran, that lasted throughout all time, is to be destroyed by a young arrogant country.

Sad.

^ This weak mindedness is precisely why countries like Iran, Russia, China, and North Korea continue to get away with undermining NATO and US strength.

You pacifists continue to play right into these countries' hands.

Now they are talking about sending 120 000 troops, but no one seems to take it seriously.

I guess they have identified Trump as a serial bluffer, and liar, so they just ignore him.

It does not help that the admin has not even bothered to explain why they pretend to be going to war.
