As long as GOP is blind and willing to follow whatever Trump wants them to believe he is above the law temporary since the GOP would never remove him from office.

Trump isn't above the law. They just spent $30,000,000 investigating him for breaking the law. They found nothing. He did not illegally collude with the Russians.

The best gift of all to Trump was that control go back to the Democrats in 2018. It reminds America what they get with the Democrats. As already mentioned in this thread, the report section on obstruction makes pretty clear that Mueller viewed the maniac's conduct as obstruction but felt he could not charge him because of current DOJ policy which says the POTUS is above the law.

Then why did Mueller bother to investigate him?

The evidence would have been sufficient for an indictment apart from the absurd DOJ policy that the president is above the law that Mueller felt he had to follow.
How can we fix this?
I realize this has not been given great consideration before since he haven’t had a president so willfully hostile to our laws and system of government before but this has to change.

The problem with your "absurd DOJ policy that Mueller felt he had to follow" analysis is that Mueller specifically said his conclusion (or lack thereof) was not impacted by the DOJ policy
The real news is it's disgraceful that 370 people familiar with the law say the only thing protecting a POTUS from being criminally charged is a flawed DoJ policy.
If they said that, they're really stupid or dishonest. Mueller specifically wrote in his report that that is false. He wrote that the policy was irrelevant to anything he did. Also, they're especially stupid in that they are doing one of the things that Trump did that supposedly constituted obstruction (give his opinion of the investigation publicly), and if he's guilty of obstruction, so are they.
Well, the DoJ position is only policy and not law, so there's that. n Perhaps it's time people flood the Email accounts of their Congressional representatives demanding the obstructor be indicted, or their representatives replaced.

The country was patient with Mueller and the whole Russia-gate invention, but now that there is nothing to report and plenty to investigate (why we went down this road), you still want to attempt to lob another Hail Mary!
