BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH...socialism always fails blah blah blah MAGA...capitalism is divided between the boss class and the worker class...the boss class always prospers...the worker class has been stucco for 40 years..
capitalism WITHIN the region is fine!
Global capitalism results in everybody getting the same standard of living $4/hr...
some degree of more local control over global capitalism must be put in place..call it what you want..
i have heard of stories of CEO types marveling over the newer worker plans introduced in the computer business with the inclusion of more benefits and happier workers without realizing that these better plans are capitalistic with socialist policies
Most of Europe is STRONGLY socialist. Denmark (where I was married) and Sweden are at the forefront of Democratic Socialism.
Describing them as “capitalist with a large social contract” is your attempt at being charitable because those nations are European.
If Nicaragua or Ecuador were to propose enacting the exact same social Democratic framework for themselves, you’d scream to the high heavens that we need to send the CIA down there and overthrow the communist regime.
You know...like most of you did in response to Venezuela’s experiment.
Danes are wealthy because of their capitalist systems and their oil....good for them.
Venezuela is real Socialism which is the biggest reason Venezuela is falling into the socialist toilet and Denmark is a thriving capitalist nation.

There's a social caste in latin America, indigenous are discriminated against by the middle and ruling class "Mestizo" like european/indo hybrid. The lower castes far outnumber the "producers" and that's why they're 3rd world with a short history of becoming developed, their mindset never changed from 3rd world.

There's been so much confusion in this country about what socialism is and is not.
Socialism - government ownership of wealth-producing properties. Government fully possesses the proceeds of the sales. It's a government service in (theoretically, and often in practice) the public interest.
Marxism-Leninism - ALL wealth-producing properties (even down to the convenience store and barber shop / hair stylist) is government-owned. The same goes for real estate, farm land, natural resources, or *anything* that could potentially be sold at a profit. In a lot of Marxist-Leninist countries, even selling your own garden-grown vegetables to your neighbors might get you a visit from the Party authorities (but undoubtedly this varied from country to country)
Capitalism - private ownership of wealth creating properties, and the right to pocket the proceeds of the sales. It's a private service in (theoretically, and often in practice) in the owners' interests.
What Western Europe had from WW2 to 1980ish was a Mixed Economy (in the UK, the government owned British Steel, British Airways, and the railway system - or at least its tracks. I think they even owned a lot of the coal mines too).
Social Democracy - Wealth-creating entities remain in private hands, but taxed at fairly high rates in order to provide key services widely regarded as a human right (health care, education, etc. The usual stuff Bernie and AOC talk about).
What most Socialism-supporting Americans want is Social Democracy, *not* Marxism-Leninism or Maoism or anything along those lines. A few may still want a Mixed Economy, but they're well within the minority of US socialists.

The Danish prime minister disagrees with you.
Quote:
"I know that some people in the US associate the Nordic model with some sort of socialism. Therefore I would like to make one thing clear. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy,” Rasmussen said.
“The Nordic model is an expanded welfare state which provides a high level of security for its citizens, but it is also a successful market economy with much freedom to pursue your dreams and live your life as you wish,” he added.
It doesn't matter what the Danish Prime minister says, Leftist in this country seem to think they know better than him
They're misguided into thinking they're any different than Venezuela. A white society controlled socialism is more noble than one with various factions trying to help their own tribe. India, Venezuela, all mismanaged from corruption.
