It was NOTHING like the GWB Iraq thingy and it was a true NATO action...and it was against a failed state that was already in complete chaos and civil war...and 100's of other things that make it NO RELATION to warmongering against Iran.
Let's compare like to like. An threatened UNILATERAL war on Iran is closer to Iraq, although we forced a number of other countries into that one....most took off when they could. But this one is much worse because our Allies and our adversaries are still upholding the treaty we and they made with Iran - we are the only country that pulled out.
This thing is NOTHING like Libya and - if it was possible - even a bigger mistake than Iraq (considered the biggest mistake the USA had made in history)......

If you prefer to argue that they were ignorant of history and had no clue what would happen, have at it. Any way you argue it, it's either treason or incompetence.
Congress abdicated its responsibilities under Obama and continues to allow the president to make decisions on his own. These are not emergencies, they could easily hold a vote on these military actions. If it’s important enough for soldiers to die then Congress needs to approve these actions.

That's not the question. You may have lied to your wife or friend yesterday.
My point is that the threat of a WAR with Iran is not comparable to anything else in recent history - not even to the Iraq debacle.
Better to realize now then to learn later.
When the whole world blows up and lots of Americans and others die and suffer are you gonna say "well, we lied about something back when so this is all OK now?".
