Nature is a helluva lot bigger than politics. It's happening regardless of what anyone thinks. We're already seeing the effects. I think it's going to be a slow bleed.
America reducing its carbon emissions would have more of an effect than the vast majority of the planet doing it, per person, and it would be easier, and it would be more motivational for the rest of the planet.
Right now, nuclear fission is the only technology that can make big cuts in carbon dioxide emissions.
