The Dems single biggest talking point from the morning session - that if not for the memo then Trump would have been indicted - was blown out of the water by Mueller in his afternoon opening statement where he clarified that this is not accurate, that because of the memo it was not even evaluated whether Trump would be indicted.
And Mueller was just schooled on the concept - or lack thereof - of exoneration within our legal system. The AG and Mueller does not have the legal authority to exonerate thus there is no purpose to say "not exonerated" other than political propaganda. He had no alternative option to say "exonerated" even if he believed the exculpable evidence did so.
To paraphrase Rep Turner here - our legal system does not exonerate, and it never has. You are innocent until you are proven guilty. There is no exoneration. Never, in the history of our legal system going back to before we even had a Constitution. There is innocence until proven guilty, that is all.
Nobody, not even the President, is required to prove their own innocence. The prosecution must prove guilt. Period.
This just needed to be copied over to the newest page. Everyone, please read this. It’s just the unbiased truth, based solely on American law. It matters.
So the way I see it is your hoping that Muller will state something that the conservatives can later use against him. He’s playing by the rules laid out for him. Period.
If he was trying to get at the truth with his investigation its reasonable for him to show that or its nothing but a political circus !!! The democrats are doing the same looking for anything they can use !!!
All we really are witness to today equals a circus act similar to a dog riding on back of the horse in ring #2 !!!

Great summary. Unfortunately, my fellow Dems have their fingers in their ears and they're loudly singing, 'tra la la...I can't hear you....'
If I were going to give Mueller some credit, I think he got caught with his pants down on the exoneration question of obstruction. I think he signed off on it, and it was weird to Rosenstein and Barr, so they asked for clarification, realized it was moreso exposition -- speaking to the audience, in this case the American people -- than a serious legal conclusion.
This is a very rudimentary point. The police think you killed someone. They ask where you were on the night of the murder. You say you were out of town and show them your plane ticket and hotel bill. They can't say, "well, you weren't exonerated, but we don't have enough evidence to charge". On one hand, if you say you were cleared/exonerated, that may not be technically true because you weren't charged in the first place. On the other, if you weren't charged, there's no way to prove their suspicion true. So the bottom line is, you're innocent.
