Reminds me of when, not too long ago, the ACA foisted this upon business owners, who promptly cut employees to 35 part-time hours a week, then the gubbermint said "35 hours is now full time", so they were cut to 32 hours a week, later-rinse-repeat.

Forcing employees to take a second job, as 28 or 30 part-time hours wasn't paying the bills. Neither of which provided medical coverage.

The Democrats are going more and more insane by the hour... well, bring it on, $20 an hour and the move to automation becomes that much more immediate and as an IT guy I am the one designing those systems so works in my favor!

Just for the record, if you use the BLS Inflation calculator, in January 1980 the minimum wage was $3.10. In July 2019 dollars it shows as $10.21 which is right in line with a $10/hr minimum wage in many localities already.

I don't think it much matters what it is. IMO companies will budget just so much for wages. Net, if MW goes up 33%, companies will cut 25% of their MW workforce & bingo, their wage cost is the same. Net, if you wish to increase unemployment, increase MW.
