Just because they deserve a raise so they earn enough to live on and support themselves, why does that mean I suddenly deserve a raise too?!!! LOL Im not having any problems paying my bills or supporting myself.

Besides that, when it comes down to it, those entry level workers work MUCH harder than I do anyway, they have very strict rules about when they can take breaks, how long their lunches are, etc. I dont have any of those rules in my job, Im expected to complete my work by deadline, but other than that, I am supposed to manage my own time.
Good for you but many skilled workers actually worked their way up the ladder.

Why should a burger flipper get paid the same as someone who actually has skills or a trade? There should always be a reward for being skilled.

They are only asking for $15 per hour, Im at the mid $20s per hour level of pay, so they would still not be up at the skilled level, just a little higher than they are now.

And that new tv you want to buy will now cost $2000. instead of $900.
Somebody has to pay for the increase in the minimum wage, and that my friends is going to be John Q. Public.
I don't think there is a business on the planet that would be willing to eat the increase in labor cost.
I can't understand these brain dead people who are for a higher minimum wage.
All that will do is increase the cost of all goods, and services, so what will be gained?

People complain they can't live on what they are making presently.
Well, the solution is not to up the cost of living, which any increase in the minimum wage will do.
The best solution is to freeze wages, and prices for as long as it takes to balance the economy.

Increasing the minimum wage is not the answer.

Bob.

That isn't what this thread is about. It is about a $20 min wage. There isn't a burger flipper alive with $12 and hour let alone 20. They just dont produce anything of that value. Pay them $20 and what will that 1/4 pounder cost?

Funny how the people who never created jobs think they have a right to dictate to those who do.

Demand 20/hour for minimum wage while also demanding to let in immigrants that would do those jobs for 5/hour? Something does not seem right.

Ohh please, explain the cost and reasoning behind the choice would help.
