If knives are so powerful instruments of mass murder, why didn't the mass murder shooters commit their carnage with knives instead of AK-47s or other firearms?

Why did they not use pistols....pistols kill far more than any rifle/long gun/assault/ shotgun....

See, we can continue to go down this rabbit hole for a very long time with "what ifs" but the fact is, there are more people killed by other things than the mean old scary black rifle....just admit it...
Just like those 11 children in St. Louis were killed in 2 months in drive by shootings....this year....
^^^Stop this type of violence and killing by guns will dramatically drop...but that's inner city, so, those are off limits....
