Once they get rid of the "scary war guns", they will then point to the statistics and say the real killer is pistols.
They will use the argument, "We don't want to take your hunting and target guns like rifles. Pistols are used in the vast majority of murders, robberis and home invasions. You can't use them for hunting, and most children are accidentally shot with pistols."
Semiautomatic rifles with magazines is just the second stop on the gun ban bus.
This is why Francis Robert did such a huge favor for the GOP. He told the truth about the Democrats' gun agenda.
Should a mass shooting occur near you, who would have to die before you would say, "ENOUGH !" and fight for gun control?

As many have already said the weapons I have (not just firearms) are to defend my loved ones. And it is myself I am willing to sacrifice in carrying out my oath to defend. My becoming a disarmed , cowering burrowing rodent that freezes in the shadow of the hawk would be a violation of that oath.
I will never fight for anything that denies the citizen the right to personal arms. There are to many laws restricting us already.
I get your point, but i wouldn't agree under even these terms.....what if several bad guys jump my fence and come after my family with knives and clubs? How can I defend against this attack with a gun? This is not a far-fetched scenario....home invasions are on the rise (around here)
Aim, point, and shoot accurately?

I'll never fight for gun control. Cars are much more effective in mass murder. You can just drive full speed on a busy sidewalk and kill far more people than you can with guns. Just because you can kill people with cars doesn't mean you should ban them. If you want to fight for gun control then you have to fight to control everything that people use to kill each other.
How often has this happened in countries with either strict gun regulations or gun bans? Have more people been killed this way than have been hunted and gunned down in the US?
The way this thread was positioned is not great, but the reality is that w are making ourselves LESS SAFE with our weapons infatuation - not more. No other developed nation shares our level of domestic carnage, so clearly something is wrong. The only thing we aren't accomplishing is an effective deterrent to US military might because with modern technology being what it is, you can’t maintain sufficient parity - even with your assault rifle.
I would argue that people who feel they need to stockpile weapons to protect them from a tyrannical government have the irrational fear.
How many have been shot by our government as compared to the number shot by mass shooters?
You don't even realized that you have spectacularly proven the point.
The answer is basically zero. And the reason is the 2nd Amendment.
