They do a HUGE business with people who's kids have eating and other issues over fears of accidentally being poisoned by GMO's or artificial ingredients etc. and that they'll get cancers etc.
There is a big difference between educating your kids about healthy choices and indoctrinating them to the point of having mental illness.
It's no different than a religion though. One day those kids will get older and see they'd been at least partially lied to and either burrow deeper with rationalizations or become very cynical about such claims. But hey, what do I know....I'm old and was just darn lucky to survive the impending ice age of the 1970's and the great die-off of how 1 billion people on earth would cause mass famine and war.

The irony that nukes are the only thing that has kept the Europeans from killing each other en masse since pre-history is rich indeed isn't it?
I know, I'm not even someone that denies that things are getting warmer, I'm just pragmatic about what we can\should do about it with the reality that the rest of the world is likely to cheat or non-participate in any "agreements" any more than they did after the big peace accords with Hitler back in the 1930's. or Kyoto accords.
We're going to need a tech solution to this issue and unfortunately there already is one....nuclear power. However the eco-nuts make that impossible, while real environmentalists concerned with CO2 aren't as crazed.
So you're admitting that AGW has as much basis in fact as a religion? That is is based on faith? That those that deny it's existence are seen as a threat to the followers...and are treated as heretics? That it was "created" to enrich and empower it's leaders?
You really ran with that Toybox. I wasn't speaking to the accuracy of either belief just to the notion of indoctrination and using fear to get kids to comply.

I have a brother who just retired from a nuclear power plant...……..I have thought for years that is the way to go for our energy needs...……...
I don't see how eco anxiety is different from other fears. We all have fears.
